Things To Do In Lake Charles And SWLA Mardi Gras Weekend Feb. 17-21
It's Mardi Gras weekend and everyone has been looking forward to this weekend. For most of you, this is a five-day weekend. There are a bunch of parades, live music, and concerts going on in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana.
So let's get to it because the list is a long one.
The Merchants Mardi Gras Parade will take place at 7:00 pm. It leaves the Lake Charles Civic Center and goes down Mill Street to Ryan Street and head South On Ryan to Sale Road in South Lake Charles.
Reed Planchard will be live at Koozies Daquiris and Sports bar Friday night from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Kenny Wayne Shepard is playing at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center in Lake Charles on Friday night at 8:30 pm.
The Mardi Gras Gumbo Cookoff is taking place Saturday morning inside the Exhibition Hall on the first floor of the Lake Charles Civic Center.
The Children's Mardi Gras Parade will take place on Sunday, February 19th starting at 3:30 pm. It leaves the Lake Charles Civic Center and goes down Mill Street to Ryan Street and head South On Ryan to Sale Road in South Lake Charles.
Monday night, February 20th, 2023, is the 12th annual Lundi Gras Party with the Zydeco Boss Keith Frank presented by Townsquare Media Lake Charles, Gator 99.5, 107 Jamz, 92.9 The Lake, Magic 92.1, and Cajun Radio 1290 AM. It takes place at Cowboys Night Club located at 5329 Common Street in Lake Charles. Doors Open at 7:00 pm.
Tuesday, Feb 21st, 2023, is the granddaddy of them all, The Krewe Of Krewe's Parade. It starts at 5:00 pm and It leaves the Lake Charles Civic Center and goes down Mill Street to Ryan Street and head South On Ryan to Sale Road in South Lake Charles.
Jamie Bergeron & The Kickin Cajuns will be live Tuesday night, Feb. 21st at Linda's Lounge on Lake Street in Lake Charles from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm after the Kreewe Of Krewe's Parade.
