The holiday weekend is here. Christmas Eve is this Sunday with Christmas Day landing on Monday this year. Most of you will be off this weekend and even on Monday and may be looking for a break from shopping or dealing with your family and want to get out and do something fun.

We looked around the area to see what was going on and made this list for you of things to do in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana this weekend.

Johnny Jimenez will be performing on Friday and Saturday nights in Lake Charles. Johnny will be at Los Ponchos on Highway 397 in Lake Charles Friday night from 6 pm to 9 pm. Then on Saturday, Dec 23rd, he will be performing at the Caribbean Hut located on Common Street in Lake Charles for its Christmas party from 8 pm to 11 pm.

Brad Brinkley will be playing in Deridder, Louisiana Friday night at the Stadium from 6 pm to 9 pm. Then on Sunday, he will be at Fatkatz from 5 pm to 9 pm.

You can take a carriage ride on Lakeshore Drive in Lake Charles and see the beautiful Christmas lights on the lakefront. The rides are from 5 pm to 10 pm and start at the Lake Charles Event Center in downtown Lake Charles.

The Casey Peveto Band will be live at Koozie's located at 2622 Highway 14 next to KK's Corner in South Lake Charles. Casey and his band will hit the stage starting at 8 pm.
