Things To Do In Lake Charles & SWLA This Weekend March 15-17
The weekend is here but this is not just any weekend. it's Rabbit Festival and St. Patrick's weekend in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana. There are a ton of St. Patrick's Day parties, live music at restaurants and bars, and a massive festival all going on.
Here is a list of a bunch of the things going on in Southwest Louisiana this weekend.
The Iowa Rabbit Festival gets underway Friday night and continues all day Saturday at the Brton complex in South Lake Charles. The music gets underway Friday at 7:30 pm and on Saturday at 10:00 am at the cook-off and finishes inside the Burton Saturday night where music will roll from 4:30 pm to 11:00 pm that night. Linda's Lounge is located at 4338 Lake Street in Lake Charles and will have live music on both Friday & Saturday nights. Friday night they will have Chris Breaux live from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am and then on Saturday, get ready for Hillbilly Deluxe from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am.
Cowboys Nightclub is having its St. Patrick's Day party on Saturday night. They are located at 5329 Common Street in Lake Charles with doors opening up at 9:00 pm.
Kevin Barton will be live at The Boardwalk located on East McNeese Street in Lake Charles starting at 7:00 pm.
The Lake Charles Happy Hour Rotary's 2024 Annual St. Paddy's Day Pub Crawl is taking place this Saturday, March 16th, 2024. The pub crawl is from 5:00 pm to 9"00 pm with six different stops scheduled. Tickets are $15 and to get more info or tickets, click here. The proceeds go to benefit Girlie Girls Mentoring Program INC and other charitable projects in Lake Charles.
Johnny Jimenez will be live at Chaser's Bar and Grill located on the corner of Univesity Drive and Lake Street in Lake Charles. He will start performing live at 8:00 pm.
MacFarlane's Celtic Pub located at 417 Ann Street in downtown Lake Charles is having its 14th annual St. Patrick's Day Festival which will get underway at 8:00 am with brunch until 1:00 pm. They will have live music starting at noon, fire dancers, drink and shot specials all day, scotch and whiskey tastings, and over 50 vendors on hand.
