The weekend is here again y'all, thank goodness. With so many things opening up in the Southwest Louisiana area, there are a lot more things to do.

Events and live music are the predominate things going on this weekend, which gives all of us a chance to get out of the house and enjoy a great weekend of live music and visit with friends and family.

Starting tonight, the Live At The Lakefront concert series gets underway on the grounds of the Lake Charles Civic Center at the Amphitheater. Tonight, Leah Nicole & the Fellas, Louisiana Yard Dogs, and Infinite Bus will kick off this season's live music festival.

Charlie Wayne Band will be playing live tonight at Paul's Rib Shack and BBQ on Nelson Road in Lake Charles from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

K-Bon's on the corner of Hwy. 397 and East McNeese Street in Lake Charles will have Brianna Laentte on Friday night and Joe Barron on Saturday night, with both artists playing from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.

Johnny Jimenez will be playing in Lake Charles on Saturday night at The Social Club on East McNeese Street. Brad Brinkley will be performing live Friday night at Los Ponchos in Sulphur.

BeauxDines' in Lake Charles on Ryan Street will have JP Primeaux on Friday night and The River Katz on Saturday night. Both artists start at 6:30pm. They will also have LA Spice on Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Gladys Knight is performing live at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center this Saturday night at 8:00pm.

Whatever you do this weekend, go out and have some fun.
