Things To Do In SWLA And Lake Charles This Weekend Oct. 20-22

The weekend is here but it's going to feel a little different. There is a cold front coming through which is going to cool us down a bit which will be perfect for you to get out and do something outside.

Friday Night brings another edition of the McNeese Cowboy Friday Night Block Party as SteelShot will be in action beginning at 7:00.

The Cowboy Block Party takes place at the corner of McNeese and Common Street in South Lake Charles at the grove next to Lot A parking lot. There will be food trucks and drinks for sale just in case you don't bring any food or drinks with you.

Friday Night, you can start the weekend off by checking out some Southwest Louisiana High School Football. There are a ton of good games.

Saturday, Country Music comes to town as the Roots & Boots Tour is coming to the L'auberge Casino Resort. Here’s a powerhouse country concert you won’t want to miss! Aaron Tippin, Collin Raye, and Sammy Kershaw join forces to present an evening filled with stories and songs as they get back to the roots of their music.

Saturday at the Golden Nugget, you can catch the likings of more Country Music as Texas Country/Rock band comes to town in Pecos and The Rooftops.

The McNeese Cowboys will be back in action on Saturday Night as they'll be back at Cowboy Stadium for the first time in a few weeks. The Cowboys are taking on Incarnate Word. The game is slated for 7:00.
