We had a big blowout of Christmas events this past weekend, but that is by no means the end of Christmas festivities in the area. Here is a list of events you'll be sure to want to check out to add some fun to your Christmas.

Iowa Christmas Parade and Christmas in the Park
Dec. 9, KC Hall on Hwy 90, Downtown Iowa. Christmas Parade begins at 3 p.m. from the VF Mall and travels to the Lawrence Toups Memorial Park. Christmas in the Park will be after the parade and includes kid events, arts and crafts, shopping and more. (337) 309-7914. www.iowala.org

Moss Bluff Christmas Parade December 9th at 2 pm

The Sam Houston Pride & Spirit Marching Band will be attendance and local businesses, civic organizations, clubs, and churches are also invited to enter a float in the parade. Santa will be there too!

The parade will begin at the High School and follow the route for Homecoming, behind the High School, to Telephone Road, Parish Road and the parade will begin on Sam Houston Jones Parkway, and will end back at Sam Houston High School.

12 Days of Christmas in Sulphur

This event is ongoing through this Saturday, December 9th. You'll find a lot of fun activities for the whole family.

The Jazz in the Arts concert will be at Marilyn's. The event tickets include dinner and the concert.

Westlake Christmas Parade, Saturday December 9th

Everyone in town is bustling about getting ready for the Westlake Christmas Festival on Saturday, Dec. 9. The celebration kicks off at 2 p.m. with a parade in the heart of downtown.

Candy and Christmas fare will fly through the air, and spectators will be dazzled by the Christmas spirit in Westlake. The parade, sponsored by the West Cal Kiwanis, will roll down Sampson Street. It is guaranteed to be Christmas fun for the whole family!

It's a Wonderful Life - Live on stage

Don't miss this holiday classic presented as a radio play will be at Lake Charles Little Theater.

Itinerant Theatre will present It’s a Wonderful Life:  A Live Radio Play December 1, 2, 8, 9, at 7:00pm and Sunday December 3 at 2:00 pm at Lake Charles Little Theatre, 813 Enterprise Blvd. Lake Charles, LA 70601.
