Walker Hayes Plots 2018 Good as Gold Tour
The 13-city tour crosses the U.S. from February through April, kicking off Feb. 1 at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and wrapping up April 27 in California. The tour is named after a line in his breakthrough single "You Broke Up With Me," which is inching its way up the charts and currently sits in the top 15 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart, in addition to being certified gold.
“I am so humbled by folks wanting to see this live that we can do this,” Hayes says in a press release. “I’m so honored to have so many supporters -- from my peers to the industry to country radio -- on this crazy journey with me. You all have absolutely changed my life.”
Boom is set for release on Dec. 8 and features "You Broke Up With Me" along with other track titles like "Shut Up Kenny," "Halloween" and "Beer in the Fridge." It's produced by Nashville hit maker Shane McAnally.
“'Boom!' It’s my favorite word," Hayes says of the title. "It’s what I text my team every time another station adds 'You Broke Up With Me' … It’s the first thing I say after I play a song from the album for anyone. So it’s what we had to call the album. I’m just so excited to share another part of the story. BOOM!"
