Wayne Toups Playing Today In Lake Charles For Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras is here and today is the final day of the carnival season. There are a few parades scheduled in Lake Charles today along with block parties along the parade route all day.

We have already had the Merchants parade, a world-famous gumbo cook-off at the Lake Charles Event Center, and the children's parade, but now the big one is here. The Krewe of Krwews parade will take place tonight in Lake Charles.

Ryan Street in Lake Charles will start filling up today. If you are not from the area, just know that there are a ton of businesses that run up and down that street and the five-and-a-half mile track for the parade will be jumping.

Now as far as the biggest party we have learned about will be at The Cajun's Wharf Grill And Bar located at 3500 Rayn Street in Lake Charles. Grammy Award winner Wayne Toups playing today for Mardi Gras at the Wharf.

Wayne and his band Zydecajun will take the stage at 4:00 pm and play until 6:00 pm. They will finish just in time as the Krewe of Krewe's parade rolls right by the Wharf.

Wow, that is going to be one huge party. So if you were on the fence trying to decide where to be on Ryan Street for Mardi Gras this year, you need to be at the Cajun's Wharf for this huge event.
