One of the most recognizable voices in country music and country music legend, Willie Nelson is returning to the area for a big show. Willie Nelson is a legend and has entertained generations of people for over seven decades.

Willie Nelson is a member of the Country Music Hall Of Fame. He was inducted in 1993. What may surprise you is that Wille is NOT a member of the Grand Ole Opry. He was inducted as a member in 1965 while he lived in Nashville.

But he decided to move back to Texas in 1972. He gave up his membership to the Opry because part of being a member is that you agree to play the Opry so many times a year which just wasn't possible with him touring so much and returning to Texas when he was off the road.

Willie, known as The Redheaded Stranger, has played with or collaborated with anyone and everyone in the music business not just country artists. Do you remember when he was involved with and sang the song We Are The World with other artists like Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Ray Charles, Lionel Ritchie, Kenny Rogers, and more?

During his long career, Willie has released 120 singles and has had 20 number-one hits. Some of those hits include Georgia On My Mind, Blue Skies, My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys, On The Road Again, Mona Lisa, Always On My Mind, Blues Eyes Cryin In The Rain, If You Got The Money I Got The Time, and Whiskey River to name just some of his massive hits.
