Weather Service Forecasting Louisiana With Severe Cold Weather Monday
South Louisiana is one of those places in the country where most of the year, the temperatures stay tolerable. Most of the time we may see cold temperatures in the 30s or 40s or on the flip side we are so hot in the 100's but can deal with that.
What most Louisianians can't deal with is artic conditions and temperatures. According to the National Weather Service, South Louisiana could experience just that at the start of next week.

According to the National Weather Service,
On Monday, the National Weather Service is calling for a 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 44.
Monday night, there is a 20 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 23.
Tuesday is mostly sunny, with a high near 39.
Tuesday night, Partyly Cloudy with low of 22
Yikes, 23 is the low on Monday night and it won't get higher than 39ish on Tuesday with even colder temperatures Tuesday night with that low of 22. That is cold. Remember to use best practices when it comes to the cold weather.
Make sure to bring in your pets and plants, and wrap your pipes plus run a faucet or two in your house so your pipes don't freeze. And of course, make sure to take care of your people. If you know someone who doesn't have a heater in their home, you may want to make sure they will be somewhere else to be safe and warm.
