West Fest 2026 in Westlake Canceled Due to Weather Concerns
KNGT | Westlake, LA —Earlier this week, I told y’all about the 4th Annual West Fest happening this Saturday, October 3rd, at Pinederosa Park in Westlake. I was already planning on grabbing my lawn chairs and heading out for an afternoon of live music.
Unfortunately, those plans have changed.
Organizers announced that West Fest 2026 has officially been canceled due to the high chance of inclement weather. They made the decision with the safety of everyone attending, along with the vendors and volunteers, in mind.
Here’s the official announcement from the City of Westlake:
Important Update: West Fest 2026 is Cancelled

The safety of our attendees, vendors, and volunteers is our top priority. We are incredibly sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this causes. Thank you all for your understanding and support.
We love our city and we will see you next year
If you’re looking for something to do next weekend, Westlake has you covered. The 4th Annual West Fest is happening Saturday, October 3rd, at Pinederosa Park in Westlake, Louisiana, and it sounds like they’re fixing to have a pretty good time.
Gates open at 1 p.m., with live music starting at 2:30 p.m. And y’all, they’ve got a solid lineup this year. The Kevin Barton Band, Brandon Ledet, Dani LaCour, and Steel Shot will all take the stage during West Fest.

That’s a whole afternoon of live music right here in Southwest Louisiana. One thing I love about events like this is you don’t have to make it complicated. Grab your people, load up the lawn chairs, pack the ice chest, and head to Westlake. And YES, you can bring your lawn chairs and ice chests. Trust me, I’m bringing my lawn chairs for sure.

There’s just something about sitting outside with a cold drink, listening to live music, and passing a good time with folks from around Southwest Louisiana. West Fest has now made it to its fourth year, and I love seeing local events like this continue to grow.
So if you don’t already have plans for Saturday, October 3rd, you might want to put Westlake on the list.
