[KNGT-FM] Sometimes the struggles are real. You know, when you're a few days out from payday, you have paid all the bills, and you're trying to live off of what little money you have left, and all the groceries have been depleted. Have you ever been down to the bare minimums, and you have to start getting creative? We have all been there, right?

Yesterday, during our morning show, we started talking about those times when things are tough and times are lean. We all go grocery shopping and have seen the prices of pretty much everything going up on us. It ends up busting your grocery budget, and you have to spend more.

With prices up on everything from insurance to house notes and rent, to gas for your vehicle, we all have to be mindful of our spending and make sacrifices anyway we can. We talked about that yesterday and asked you, "What is that struggle meal you go to when you're low on money?"

Some of the responses we got and the combinations of foods you mentioned, we had never heard of, while some of your answers brought back memories of when we ate the same things.

I would add to the list Raimen Noodles, Bread Cereal, Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, and pizza sauce on toasted bread with a slice of cheese. Those were my go-tos in College. How funny when you think back on some of the weird combos of food you would or still do eat to get you through the week. We hope you enjoyed people's responses.
