I use Google at least ten times a day to find things, spell things, pretty much just do anything, but I've never asked Google how to pickle eggs. Clearly, everyone else in Louisiana has though, because according to Estately, that is the Bayou State's most Googled question.

How to pickle eggs? Really, Louisiana? I mean, I've seen a few pickled quail eggs for sale at old school Cajun stores, but who on Earth actually eats them, let alone tries to pickle their own eggs?

In case you were wondering, when you type in "how to pickle eggs" in Google, this is the first thing to pop up:

  1. Place eggs in a medium saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil and immediately remove from heat. ...
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, mix together the vinegar, water and pickling spice. Bring to a boil and mix in the garlic and by leaf. ...
  3. Transfer the eggs to sterile containers.

So, now we all know how to pickle eggs. Let's think of something more creative to Google next year, like California. Their most Googled question was "how to be a narcissist". Or maybe we'll start to Google crazy stuff, like Texas, whose most Googled question was "how to sell your soul" ... yeah, remind me to never go to Texas again.

You can check out what each state Googles the most on the Estately website.
