Will Wade Adds Two Key Pieces To 2025 McNeese Squad

Even though the season ended just 50 days ago for the McNeese Cowboys and first-year Head Coach Will Wade, that has not slowed the new season down. Wade and his coaching staff have gotten right to work assembling what looks to be another star-studded squad, except this one looks to be even better!

Wade is coming off leading the McNeese Cowboys to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in over 20 years. There is no better coach to learn from than Head Coach Will Wade. Coach Wade has made the NCAA Tournament with three different schools six times.

The McNeese Cowboys are coming off a remarkable season where Coach Wade and the gang with a 30-4 overall record. The Cowboys' program had never received a higher seed, and the 12-seed also corresponded with the highest seed a Southland Conference club has received in the previous 40 years (SFA in 2014 and 2015).

Wade has already added some big-time additions to the roster via the Transfer Portal, and he has snagged a few more this week. Here's who was committed to McNeese heading into the week...

Those are four additions to go along with returning starters Christian Shumate, DJ Richards, and Javohn Garcia.

Over the last few days, Wade has continued to dominate as he has now grabbed commitments from Quadir Copeland from Syracuse and now Jerome Brewer who is transferring from within conference play at Texas A&M Commerce.

Needless to say, the expectation for Will Wade and the McNeese Cowboys is no longer to just make it to the NCAA Tournament. They're for real!
