WWE Icon Retiring Due To Neck Injury [VIDEO]
Steve Borden, Sr., also known as Sting, injured his neck during a "WWE Night of Champions" match against Seth Rollins in September and has been unable to recover, TMZ reports.
Sting will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next month during Wrestlemania weekend. Two time Hall of Famer Ric Flair will be the wrestler to induct him. Sting and Flair had some classics in the late 80s and 90s in the NWA and WCW.
I think the original plan for Sting was a match with the Undertaker at Wrestlemania this year. After news of his unfortunate retirement, the dream match will be a dream match.
