Dale Mann, Lake Charles' favorite DJ -- 20 years running -- has finally decided to hang up his cowboy hat and "go to the house," as they say.  But not before he sits in on the Kris & Scott Morning show to chat about his career, his favorite memories and the people he loves.

Who stopped by to wish Dale well?  Lake Charles Mayor Randy Roach proclaimed Sept. 4, 2014 as "Dale Mann Day" in Lake Charles.  So did Sulphur Mayor Chris Duncan -- and he also gave Dale a key to the city.  We heard from Wayne Toups and Richard LeBouef by phone.  KPLC's John Bridges stopped by to shoot a segment for his "Louisiana Traveler" series.

And, the people of Southwest Louisiana lit up the phones all morning long to thank Dale for his years of service to our area.  Dale has a one-of-a-kind voice that generations have grown up with, and while he won't be totally gone from the airwaves, we'll all miss hearing it every day.

Below is a playlist of videos from this morning's show, including Randy Roach's tribute and some of Dale's stories from his time in radio.
