How To Escape Zip Tie Handcuffs Using Your Shoelaces

I've never put much thought into the idea of needing to escape from zip tie handcuffs, but then I saw a video of Michelle O'Neal's daughter using her shoelaces to break her hands free of the zip ties and it got me thinking.

If, for some reason, I ever had my hands tied with zip ties I would probably sit there crying with no idea what to do. This video could potentially save my life. I mean, I hope I never never find myself in that situation, but if I do I'll be glad I know this trick.

The video has been viewed over 43 million times on Facebook and has racked up over 27,000 shares. In the video, Michelle's daughter uses her shoelaces to create friction and break out of the zip ties. She can't be more than 10 years old, so if she can do it, you can too.

I really do hope no one ever finds themselves in the position where they need to escape zip tie handcuffs, but if you ever do this video will come in handy.
