It's officially summertime on the calendar and that means plenty of festivals around the lake area. Some have come and gone, but there are more ahead of us. One of those festivals will be the Lake Charles Arts and Crabs Festival.

Southwest Louisiana's only festival that features arts and crabs together will take place this year on August 15th at the Burton Coliseum from 5PM to 8PM. This festival brings culture, cuisine, art, and music from southwest Louisiana to the forefront every August.

Dishes that have been featured in the past include crab ceviche, mini crab crepes, crab penne pasta, and also corn and crab panna cotta. Along with all of the great food, there will also be complimentary Louisiana craft beer samples. There will also be live music performed by local bands Thomas & Theresa as well as Sinners.

Tickets will go on sale this Wednesday, July 1st. Early bird tickets will be $25 dollars, which will be the first 300 online purchased. The remaining tickets will be $35 dollars. You must be 21 years of age to purchase tickets. For more information on the festival, you can call the Arts Council at (337)-439-2787.
