Lake Charles Police Department Holding Recruitment Day, August 26

I was a police officer and served with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office for over 10 years. Let me tell you, it was one of the most rewarding things I have ever done in my life.

It was my honor to serve the great people of Calcasieu Parish. I worked in the correctional center, radio room (Go Figure), and on patrol where I served as not only a patrol deputy but as a field training officer where I trained new deputies that were transferred to patrol.

The Lake Charles Police Department recruitment day will take place on Saturday, August 26th, 2023, and will take place at the Lake Charles Civic Center. They are offering is offering a $6000 hiring incentive.

Here are the basic requirements for employment:

• 20 years or older
• Us Citizen
• High School Diploma or GED
• Pass Physical Abilities Test
• Pass A Panel Interview
• Pass a Polygraph and Background Investigation

The Lake Charles Police Department recruitment day will start that Saturday, August 26th, 2023 at 8:00 am sharp. You will need to wear some loose clothing like workout gear so that you can participate in the Physical Abilities Test. Also, make sure to bring your driver's license or proof of identity too.
