Most school zone speed limit reductions are in place from 7-9 a.m. and 2-4 p.m.. That is changing at two school zones on E. McNeese Street according to the Lake Charles American Press. At Lake Charles Charter School and F. K. White Middle School the new times will be from 7-8 a.m. and 2:30-3:30 p.m.. A Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development official indicated that the school zone speed limit times would be changing for most Louisiana schools to within an hour of the start and end of the school day. That just makes sense. The changing of the times and signs will continue. please be careful in school zones and obey all school zone signs.
