On August 31, the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, the second annual Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff, a music and entertainment event to honor the beginning of the 2024 college football season, will take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

The concert is set to feature a star-studded country lineup. If you remember back to last year, the first year started with a band with Garth Brooks, Lainey Wilson, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band stealing the show.

"The first-ever Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff was a tremendous success and featured one of the largest concert crowds in Superdome history," said Jeff Hundley, the CEO of the Allstate Sugar Bowl. "We're thrilled this year to welcome four outstanding country music artists to New Orleans for the second annual event.  It should be a great show and, given the stature of these artists, will be a nice shot in the arm for the tourism economy."

This year could be an even better show. The headliner will be Eric Church and "The Chief" will be joined by Thomas Rhett, Jon Pardi, and Ashley McBryde.

If you would like tickets to the Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff, they will go on sale on Thursday, August 25th.
