Country music and Louisiana go together like a baby in a King Cake. It just makes sense. So, it's not wonder why so many country songs are about the great bayou state!

From Hank Williams to George Strait, Louisiana has given country artists a lot to sing about.

    "Jambalaya (On The Bayou)"

    Hank Williams

You can't get much more Louisiana than Jambalaya (On The Bayou). Seriously, if you live in Louisiana and don't know this song, I personally revoke your Louisiana card. This song is a Louisiana country music staple!

    "Louisiana Saturday Night"

    Mel McDaniel

I don't know what it is about those classic country singers, but they sure did love them some Louisiana. I mean, I'm not complaining, because our state inspired a lot of truly legendary songs, like "Louisiana Saturday Night".

    "Adalida"

    George Strait

If you are a woman in Louisiana, you probably sing along to this song and think to yourself "Yes. Yes, I am a pretty little Cajun queen. I am the belle of the bayou!" This country song describes everything a Louisiana lady could ever hope to be.

    "Louisiana Moon"

    Alabama

The band might be called Alabama, but they know it's really Louisiana that gets those creative country music juices flowing. And Alabama ain't lyin' about that Louisiana moon. It will definitely cast a spell on you!

    "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man"

    Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn

Seriously, there's just something about those Louisiana women. This is probably one of my favorite Louisiana inspired songs. It's classic!

    "Callin' Baton Rouge"

    Garth Brooks

When I hear this song, I think "Louisiana!" It makes me want to dance and eat boudin and watch LSU football. This song is Louisiana.
