Week one of the NFL preseason is in the books and for the New Orleans Saints, they took on the Houston Texans. The Saints looked great but unfortunately, the Saints came up a little short and lost the game 17-13.

It was the debut of new head coach Dennis Allen who took over the Saints head coaching job at the end of last season when Sean Payton decided to retire. Allen had to make his debut without his starting quarterback Jameis Winston who had tweaked his ankle in practice earlier in the week.

So in came quarterback Andy Dalton to play for the Saints.  Dalton is a veteran quarterback who has been in the league since 2011. He has played with the Bengals, Cowboys, and Bears and now is the apparent backup for Winston.  Dalton went five for five in his debut with the Saints for 51 yards and a touchdown.
