Looking for a festival to attend this weekend? Well, you're in luck! If you don't mind traveling a little North, then head up to Beauregard Parish for the 2022 Watermelon Festival.

The festival actually began last night in DeRidder, Louisiana but there are two more days full of fun and live entertainment. The festival is located at 506 West Drive in  DeRidder, Louisiana.

Admission is $5 each day. Ages 3 years & under get in free and if you have a Military ID, entry is also free too.

On Friday, June 24th, 2022, the gates open a Noon and the festival runs until 11:00 pm. The entertainment lineup for Friday is:

5:00 pm to 6:30 pm -- Layne Allen Band

7:00 pm to 8:30 pm -- Casey Peveto

9:00 pm to 11:00 pm -- Wayne Toups

Then on Saturday, June 25, 2022, the gates open at 10:00 am and the festival goes through 11:00 pm. The entertainment lineup for Saturday is:

5:00 pm to 6:30 pm -- Beau Shyne

7:00 pm to 8:30 pm -- Clifton Swamp Band

9:00 pm to 11:00 pm -- The Dukes Of Country

They will also have carnival rides for the kids, seed spitting contests, a watermelon relay race, a watermelon eating contest, and goat roping just to name a few of the fun events going on.

They will also have a 5k walk or run on Saturday morning starting at 7:00 am. For additional information, call 318-663-0489.
