2024 Louisiana Fur & Wildlife Festival Announces Entertainment Lineup
We know it's only December but before you know it, the Louisiana Festival season will be getting underway not to mention Mardi Gras. One of the first festivals that comes your way in Southwest Louisiana is the Louisiana Fur & Wildlife Festival which takes place in January every year.
Louisiana Fur & Wildlife Festival also known as The Oldest And Coldest Festival takes place in Cameron, Louisiana every January and was started way back in 1955 by late Congressman T. A. Thompson who represented the area and a small group of people met during the summer of 1955 in the old Police Jury meeting room in the Cameron Courthouse Building to make plans for the first festival.
Since its inception, the Louisiana Fur & Wildlife Festival is one of those festivals on your calendar that you don't want to miss. The festival features things like the 5K Run/1Mile Race and Walk, Trap Shooting Competition/Quail Flush, Oyster Shucking/Nutria Skinning/Trap Setting contests, a gumbo cook-off, and a Muskrat and Nutria Skinning Competitions.
It also features a big Carnival, Craft, and Food Booths plus great live music for two straight days. The festival takes place on Friday, January 12th and Saturday, January 13th, 2024. Here is the entertainment lineup for this year's festival.

6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. -- Aaron Istre and Under The Influence
Saturday, January 13th
2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. -- Travis Matte & The Kingpins
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. -- Jamie Bergeron & The Kickin' Cajuns
7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. -- Steel Shot
