According to the July 9, 2020 noon update from the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), 71,994 (up from 70,151 on 7/8) total cases of coronavirus have now been confirmed in Louisiana.There are currently 1,042 COVID-19 patients in hospitals (up from 1,022 on 7/8), 110 (up from 105 on 7/8) of which are on ventilators.

All 64 parishes in the state have reported confirmed cases. There have been 3,247 total deaths (up from 3,231 on 7/8) reported statewide with 46,334 presumed recoveries.
