While I was watching the funeral of Louisiana State Trooper Steven Vincent, I found myself feeling so blessed to see such a professional group of men and women.

Without a shadow of a doubt I know if ever I was in a situation that needed to reach out to local law enforcement, they would be here for me and my family. There was so much class and honor shown today.

Trooper Vincent lost his life last weekend by simply doing his job.

As a community in Southwest Louisiana,  we should all put these men and women in our prayers each day. We should let them know we appreciate them. We should stop any insults toward them, which people are thinking is funny or degrading.

We should never be in their way but always have a heart to help them if they need help.
