Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office Captures The Grinch Ahead Of Christmas Holiday [WATCH]

The Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office recently arrested a suspicious-looking someone for attempting to ruin Christmas in Beauregard Parish.

On Wednesday, officers from the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office were warned about the suspect roaming around town at a rapid rate stealing gifts from local businesses in DeRidder.

The "Green Male" was spotted at locations throughout the DeRIdder area including, Bayou Vinyl Supplies, The Rustic Cottage, Guidry's Warehouse, Dear Me Southern Boutique, the USPS, Coffee Connection, Lou Lou's Cupcakes & More, Cats Coffee, Nothing Fancy, a donut shop, Cecil's Cajun Kitchen, Beauregard Credit, and many other businesses.

It was even reported that the suspicious green man tried to stop traffic and get into cars.

The man was quickly taken into custody following the use of the tools. He identified himself as Mr. Grinch.

Police say Grinch was found with the stolen Christmas decorations and is being “charged” with theft and resisting arrest. Here is the release from the Beauregard Sheriff's Office:

Sheriff Mark Herford has authorized the release of the body camera footage about the recent arrest of The Grinch. This decision aligns with our commitment to transparency, accountability, and maintaining public trust.

 

The footage, captured on the day of the arrest, provides an unbiased perspective of the events that took place. Sheriff Herford said, "As a law enforcement agency, we are always seeking ways to enhance public trust. We want to assure our community that we are committed to transparency, and we believe that this will foster a greater understanding of the circumstances surrounding this arrest."

Local Radio Station Today's Country 105.7 out of Leesville released a video concerning the arrest of the suspect.
