Billy’s Boudin Bringing New Location to Southwest Louisiana

(KNGT-FM) - In Louisiana, we have better food at most of our local gas stations and truck stops than other states do in their fine dining restaurants. Nowhere comes close to our food in Louisiana, whether it's a good gumbo, a bowl of jambalaya, some steamy boiled crawfish, or hot, fresh boudin.

Some exciting news for Southwest Louisiana: Billy's Boudin is bringing a location near Lake Charles, and we've got everything you need to know.

Billy’s is known across South Louisiana for its rich, savory boudin and crispy cracklins. When you walk inside, you can smell the seasoned pork and spices right away. The freezer cases are packed with fresh meats, sausage, hog head cheese, crawfish tails, and dressing mixes. Shelves are lined with Cajun seasonings, sauces, and even homemade pies.

If I'm being honest, every time I am headed towards Lafayette on I-10, Billy's in Scott is a MUST STOP for me! My go-to item has always been the boudin egg rolls. Those things are ELITE!

Billy’s already has locations in Lafayette, Krotz Springs, Opelousas, and Scott. Now, Southwest Louisiana will get its own spot in Lacassine. The lines are often long, but customers are greeted with smiles and quick service.

This might be my favorite moment of 2026, already! We got news that Billy's is getting a location in Southwest Louisiana!

Billy’s Homemade Boudin and Cracklin is opening a new location in Lacassine, right next to Henry’s Travel Plaza at 14390 Hwy 101. An official opening date has not been announced yet, but the new location is coming soon.
