SWLA Weekend Forecast Brings a Rare Break From the Rain

According to the Weather Channel, Southwest Louisiana is looking at a hot, mostly dry weekend with highs around 90 to 91 degrees and only small rain chances. Now before you start celebrating too much… remember, we're still in Louisiana. Just because the forecast says "partly cloudy" doesn't mean you won't sweat through your shirt before lunch. Friday
Friday starts us off with a high around 91 and only about a 24% chance of rain. That's the best guarantee ya gonna get this time of year. We're looking at partly cloudy skies, a little breeze, and plenty of sunshine. This is perfect "find a swimming pool" weather. Or a lake. Or a river. Or stand in front of the freezer at the grocery store for a few minutes. No judgment here. The UV index is set to extra crispy so just be aware of the sun.

Saturday
Saturday looks almost identical. High around 90, low around 78, and another small chance of rain. This is prime summertime in Southwest Louisiana. Cookouts. Fishing trips. Baseball tournaments.
