Cal Cam Fair Returns For Its 102nd Year In Sulphur, Louisiana
Ladies and Gentlemen and kids of all ages, the Cal Cam Fair is back and will make its return to Sulphur, Louisiana in October. Can you believe that this will be the 102nd edition of the fair? Yep, the fair is turning 102 years old this year and sports four days of family fun.
Wow, it is hard to believe but the Cal-Cam fair is turning 102 this year. For 102 years now people from Calcasieu and Cameron parish have been coming together to celebrate and have some fun.
The four-day fair features carnival rides, a talent show, Karaoke, various animal showings, Bullfights, Mutton Bustin', Bingo, and so much more. The Cal-Cam fair takes place at the West Calcasieu Arena & Events Center located at 401 Arena Road in Sulphur, La.
This year, the dates of the Cal Cam Fair are Thursday, October 3 through Sunday, October 6, 2024. Here is the lineup of just some of the events taking place that weekend.
The festival kicks off today with the gates opening at 3:00 p.m. Then they will have a Pageant that will start at 4 p.m. Then get ready for the carnival rides starting at 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 3rd - Gates open at 4:00 pm, and the rides start at 5:00 pm. There is a $5 charge at the gate.
Friday, Oct. 4th - Gates open at 4:00 pm with a $10 charge rides start at 5:00 pm. There will be a talent show and karaoke taking place on Friday night.
Saturday, Oct. 5th - Brad Brinkley will perform and bingo gets underway at 9:00 am. The gates open at 11:00 am and the carnival rides start at noon. There is a $15 charge at the gate that day. There will be a high school show choir performing at 11:00 am and they will have various livestock shows throughout the day. There will also be bullfights and mutton bustin' taking place Saturday night.
Sunday, Oct. 6th - Gates open at Noon and so do the rides with a $5 charge to enter and kids 10 and under are free.
