Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Hosting Jr. Deputy Academy In Moss Bluff
Do your children like to play cops and robbers? Are they interested every time they see a police officer in public? Do they want to go see their police car or shake a police officer's hand? If these are things your child does, they are most likely going to be interested in being a policeman too.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office (CPSO) is giving your child that chance. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office has announced that they will be holding a Junior Deputy Academy for ages 11 to 14 on Wednesday, October 5th, 2022 in Moss Bluff at Moss Bluff Middle School.
Kayla Vincent with the CPSO said,
The program teaches children the importance of their roles as citizens in our community by teaching leadership skills and the value of teamwork. Attendees will also gain a better understanding of the various roles our CPSO deputies play in our community. The program encourages good moral character, integrity, and strong leadership.
If you would like your child to get involved or if your child would be interested in this cool experience, registration and a meet and greet will be on Wednesday, October 5 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Moss Bluff Middle School. The school is located at 1104 Don Manuel Boulevard in Moss Bluff. If your child will be attending, a parent or guardian must attend.
According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, pre-registration for the event is required due to limited space. So go ahead a do that by clicking this link provided to us by the CPSO. https://form.jotform.com/220053561756049.
