Yesterday I was waiting impatiently to see who would be the 2016 class for the Country Music Hall Of Fame.  I looked over a list of artists that were not in the Hall of Fame.  It shocked me and I think it would shock you too.

Alan Jackson, Clint Black, Brooks & Dunn, Randy Travis and Charlie Daniels are among some of the great country artists that I found that were not in the Hall of Fame and I was shocked.

Well yesterday the Country music Hall of Fame redeemed themselves as they announced that legendary country artist Charlie Daniels and Randy Travis will be in the Class of 2016.

Charlie Daniels is 79 years old and his career spans over 62 years now beginning in 1954.  He has recorded 30 albums but surprisingly he has only one number one hit to his credit.

Randy Travis who is 56 years old began his career in 1985 in a huge way with his historic first album "Storms of Life".  Since then Randy has recorded 20 albums and released 50 singles.  Travis has had 16 number one hits to his credit.

Also being inducted this year is Fred Foster who is a record producer and music executive.

Congrats to Randy, Charlie and Fred!
