The City of Lake Charles is taking part in the Cleanest City Contest on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, and they want the publics help.

City officials encourage residents to beautify their yards prior to that day to help in the effort. Things like, picking up litter and removing weeds will help improve the appearance of the property and contribute to the overall attractiveness of the City as it prepares to compete at the district level, said a media release.

Residents mowing their lawns and sidewalks edged, as well as the planting of colorful flowers to brighten your landscape, and picking up litter all help in making out city number one.

Each year, Lake Charles is entered into the district competition by the Lake Charles Garden Club and Diggers and Weeders Garden Club of LC.
