Lake Charles, La [KNGT-FM] - November is getting off to a great start for country concerts as Louisiana-born country music 2000s star Chris Cagle will be making a stop in Lake Charles this weekend.

Cagle will be heading back to an area he is all too familiar with, Southwest Louisiana. Chris Cagle was born in DeRidder, Louisiana, but he and his family moved to Sugarland, Texas, when he was just four years old.

Chris Cagle's Biggest Hits

Chris Cagle achieved success in the country music world in 2000 with the release of his album Laredo, which became a major hit for him. He continued the momentum by releasing the hits My Love Goes On and On, I Breathe in I Breathe Out, and Country By The Grace Of God.

Here is his first big hit, Laredo.

A couple of years later, Cagle released his second album, which featured the hit records "What A Beautiful Day" and "Chicks Dig It." Chris followed that up with Miss Me Baby, Walmart Parking Lot, and What Kinda Gone.

In 2015, Cagle decided to step away from the spotlight and made the announcement that he was retiring from recording and touring. He took a break for around 10 years before the itch came back, and he started touring again in 2023.

The Chris Cagle concert will take place at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center in Lake Charles this Saturday night.  He will hit the stage at 8:00 pm that night. Tickets go live this Friday at 10:00 am. Check with Ticketmaster or the Golden Nugget box office for ticket availability.
