Bad news for a long list of bars in Louisiana. They were forced to shut their doors for violating the state's COVID-19 restrictions.

WBRZ reports 24 bars across the state, have had to close since the Alcohol Tobacco Control Board pulled their licenses. Most bars across the state have been closed, but some have been allowed to open if they also serve food.

Bars in Acadia, St. Landry, Plaquemines, Jefferson Davis, St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, Rapides, Jefferson, Lafayette, St. Mary and Iberville Parishes are allowed to open because those parishes are below the threshold for COVID cases.

The majority of the violations are from Livingston Parish in the Denham Springs area. The bulk of the problems are in South Louisiana.

Each of the bars will have a hearing over the next week to find out if they will be able to reopen.
