Here is a really cool event happening in Lake Charles this Tuesday, June 22. It is going to honor all the high school teams in Lake Charles that won a state championship this year.

Did you realize 11 teams from Lake Charles high schools won the Louisiana state championships in their respective sports? Yeah, we didn't realize that either but we do.

Barbe, St. Louis, Lagrange, and Lake Charles Charter have all had stellar athletic years, and this event s to honor all of those student athletes, their school programs, and the coaches.

It will take place at the Robert Noland Alumni Pavilion on the corner of Common and McNeese in Lake Charles. The event is free to attend and show these student athletes how proud you are of them and show your support.

They will have Deep South Productions out there with a DJ, sound, and lights. They will honor each team and have them take a picture together with their trophy as a keepsake.

They are inviting all of Lake Charles to come out and show your support. Show these kids all their hard work was appreciated and their accomplishments are well deserved.

Sean Ardoin, coordinator of the event, will be in the Gator 99.5 studio Tuesday morning to give us all the final details about the event, so tune in then.
