NASA Exhibit Now Open at Union Museum of History and Art in Farmerville, Louisiana

KNGT-FM - One of the most fascinating things in the world to learn about is space, and now Louisiana residents have a chance to get a closer look at NASA history right here in our own backyard. A new NASA exhibit called “Back to the Moon...on to Mars” is now open in Farmerville, Louisiana, and this exhibit features items from the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

NASA Exhibit In Louisiana

The exhibit takes visitors through some of the biggest moments in America's space program. That includes the Apollo missions, which put the first humans on the moon, as well as NASA's current Artemis missions. Visitors can see high-quality scale models of rockets, spacecraft, engines, and other space equipment. The exhibit also includes photos, history, and other NASA memorabilia.

This exhibit is located inside The Union Museum of History and Art in Farmerville. The NASA exhibit is a great chance for families, students, and anyone interested in space to learn more about where NASA has been and where it is going next.

Now, this won't be a long-term exhibit, so you'll need to make it out there as soon as possible. This exhibit will remain on display through September 26 at the museum. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• September 10 – Growing Food in Space: Dr. Joshua Vandenbrink will discuss how astronauts grow and eat food in space. The event starts at 5:30 p.m.
• September 15 – The Future of Space Exploration: NASA aerospace engineer Chandler Scheuermann will speak to school groups and the public about the future of space exploration. The public presentation begins at 5:30 p.m.
• September 17 – Welding in Space: Dr. Andrew Peters will discuss welding and engineering in space. The presentation begins at 5:30 p.m.
• September 19 – Robotics Day: Area school robotics teams will show off their robots and demonstrate their work from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
