Gov. John Bel Edwards Invited to Meet With President Trump Today

Many people have mixed emotions in regards to the governor's extension to the stay-at-home order. This extension now puts Louisiana looking at May 15t for a phase one state opening. The government has put requirements in place for states to meet before they can open. The first of which is phase one.

The governor does not feel we meet the criteria for phase one. Governor Edwards was one of a few invited by the president to visit the White House for a one-on-one meeting.
