Gumbeaux Gators Starting New Era in 2026

The Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators joined the Texas Collegiate League in 2024 and have already made a splash in Southwest Louisiana. With players from Division I, II, III, and junior colleges, the team features top talent from across the country and brings exciting baseball action to the Lake Area.

The Gators recently got a new owner, and he's no stranger to the Texas Collegiate League, or baseball for that matter... Ronnie Rantz, the owner of the Baton Rouge Rougarou, purchased the Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators along with two other minority ownership groups earlier this year and is ready to bring the heat this summer in his first season with the club.

This year, the Gators are also gonna be led by a familiar face. McNeese Softball coach James Landreneau is taking on a summer job this year and will be the Head Coach of the Gators for the 2026 season.
