Harvey Strengthens To Hurricane

It's official. According to the latest update from the National Hurricane Center, Harvey has strengthened to a Category 1 hurricane, with maximum sustained winds of 80mph.

Current models are showing the storm will continue to strengthen to as much as a Category 3 hurricane before it makes landfall in Texas, with sustained winds of at least 111mph.

As of now, Southwest Louisiana is not under any advisories.
