Better Homes & Gardens reports, a study of more than 400 people indicates hug reduce negative feelings and increase positive ones. Hugs reduce stress, even lower blood pressure.

They have an added benefit for people in intimate relationships. The research indicates hugging your significant other makes conflict resolution easier. Have you recently had a spat with your significant other? Try giving him or her a hug.
