Hurricane Delta has now been categorized as a major disaster by the federal government, which opens up financial aid, including DSNAP, to SWLA residents.

DSNAP stands for the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, which is designed to help residents of major disaster areas offset the cost of food they lost during their specific event.

If you pre-registered or applied for DSNAP after Hurricane Laura, you do not need to pre-register for Hurricane Delta.

For more information on Hurricane Delta DSNAP, text LADSNAP to 898-211 or visit their website.

If you never pre-registered for DSNAP, call the LAHelpU Customer Service Center at 1-888-524-3578 to talk with a customer service representative. The call center is open 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Another helpful tip is to download the LA Wallet app on your mobile device. It will help make the process faster by already having it, because they'll ask you to download it anyway during the call.
