I-10 Closed For Five More hours!

The wreck that occurred early this morning just east of Jennings is now affecting the drive home in the worst way!

I-10 is now closed Eastbound at US165 near Iowa, and Westbound at LA 13 in Crowley. That is a lot of I-10 closed(especially when the Highway 90 bridge between Jennings and Roanoke is also out of commission).

And now this from the Acadia Parish Sheriff's office ... Troop D out of Lake Charles advises that I-10 between Crowley and Iowa will remain closed for another 5 hours for hazmat clean up. Traffic is heavy in the Crowley and Rayne area so please plan your route home accordingly. It looks like I-10 will be closed till around eight at best. I hope you don't have to travel in that direction today.
