I-10 Lane Closure Thursday October 10

The DOTD announced that the project to widen I-10 has been approved and awarded to a contractor. Tomorrow, October 10, the east bound right lane of I-10 will be closed beginning at 8:30am at mile marker 28.7 for preliminary maintenance for the upcoming project in 2020.

The closure will last until 2:30pm which hopefully means we won't see a giant impact on afternoon traffic. The overall project will begin in early 2020 to widen I-10 to four lanes between 108 and the I-210 split. During this project, I-10 will be constricted down to two lanes, one east and one west. Let's just hope 210 is finished by the time this new construction begins.
