Isaac made landfall this evening as a Category 1 Hurricane just southwest of the mouth of the Mississippi River then moved back over open water and wobbled westward. Isaac has now made it's second landfall near Fourchon.

The center of Isaac moved back over open water and wobbled westward then made a second landfall. The 4 a.m. position was 29.2 North and 90.5 West. Isaac is still a category 1 hurricane with maximum sustained winds at 80 mph. The movement is to the WNW at 8 mph. The forecast for possible tropical storm conditions today. We could see 20-30 mph winds with 35 mph gust. Tonight we could see tropical storm conditions.The winds will be out of the north at 25-30 miles per hour then shift to westerly with gust up to 40 mph. It looks like it could be windy and raining through Friday morning. We will have continuing 24 hour coverage here and on the air.
