Louisiana Residents Watching Gulf As Another Storm Is Expected This Weekend
LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA: In the Gulf of Mexico, November has been unexpectedly active for this time of year. Now, another storm is starting to form in the same Caribbean spot where the previous hurricanes originated in November. We have all the details.
During hurricane season, November is often a month when residents of the Gulf Coast can relax and not worry about any more storms approaching. But Mother Nature had other ideas for 2024.
Gulf weather expert Meteorologist Zack Fradella is reporting that a new storm might be brewing in the same location that has seen other storms form this month and enter the Gulf of Mexico.
The new storm will be named Sara and looks likely to form over this weekend.
The National Hurricane Center is also taking notice of the possible disturbance developing and are watching it closely.
The remnants of Hurricane Rafael are still swirling off the coast of Louisiana and will continue to send rain our way for the next few days.
This is just another friendly reminder that just because it's November, the Gulf only closes down when Mother Nature hangs up the sign.
