American Idol Finalist And Louisiana’s John Foster Joining The Morning Show Friday
[KNGT-FM] -- American Idol Finalist and Louisiana boy John Foster will be stopping by Gator 99.5 to visit with Mike & Scoty this Friday morning. John Foster just finished competing on American Idol this year, and he made an impact on the show, the nation, and country music.
John Foster, who is from Addis, Louisiana, was just a teenager when he was thrust onto a national stage, finding himself competing on the biggest singing talent show in the world. He started off his journey auditioning for judges Lionel Ritchie, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan.

Let's just say John started his audition off in typical Louisiana style by bringing the judges some authentic Louisiana food. Check out his audition.
John Foster made it through he audition after singing some Alan Jackson and Conway Twitty songs. He made it to Hollywood week and coasted through that and headed to Hawaii. He made it through those rounds and then started performing for America's vote.
John made it through round after round and found himself in the finals. He ended up finishing in second place. Since then, John has been performing shows all over the country and even has performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage.
Now he is coming to Lake Charles to perform at the 2025 Marshland Festival this Saturday, July 26, 2025. He will hit the stage at 9:00 pm.
