LA State Police To Conduct DWI Checkpoint Tonight Nov. 17
If you are thinking about partaking in a few adult beverages tonight, I would suggest you make sure to have a designated driver available.
The Louisiana State Police (LSP) will be conducting a DWI checkpoint tonight at an undisclosed location in Calcasieu Parish.
Sgt. James Anderson with LSP said:
Our mission will be to detect and arrest impaired drivers before they cause injury or death to themselves or others.
As we approach the holiday season, motorists are reminded of the importance of planning ahead and designating a sober driver before driving to any place where alcohol will be consumed. Not doing so can have deadly consequences.
So with that being said, please make sure to be safe and hand your keys over to someone who can get you home safely.
The checkpoint will be from 8:00 p.m. to 2 a.m. in Calcasieu parish.
