
Lake Charles & SWLA To Do List: Weekend Concerts & Events June 5-7
Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - Summer has officially arrived, and with June now underway, the calendar is filling up with festivals, live music, community events, and plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy the season.
If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend, you're in luck because several exciting events are taking place across the area. Every week, we try to take the guesswork out of it for you and give you a list of things to choose from.


Country music recording artist and Louisiana native Frank Foster will be performing live on Saturday night at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center. He and the boys will hit the stage starting at 8:30 pm that night.

Johnny Jiminez is returning to Lake Charles for two shows only this weekend. Johnny has his old band together just for this weekend and will be performing at Chaser's on Lake Street and University Drive on Friday night and at Linda's Lounge on Lake Street on Saturday night, both in Lake Charles.

Southwest Louisiana's own Brad Brinkley and his band will be live at Jellystone RV Park and Resort on Saturday, June 6th, from 7:00 pm until under the pavilion. If you love old country, then you definitely don't want to miss Brad and his band Comfort Zone live.

The debut of the Riverside Spring Festival will take place this weekend, on Saturday, June 6th, at Riverside Park in Lake Charles. The free outdoor event is designed to bring families together for an afternoon filled with live music, local vendors, food, and scenic views along the beautiful Calcasieu River. Set at Riverside Park on Fitzenreiter Road, the festival will run from noon until 5:00 p.m. and promises to offer something for everyone.
